O + SO recombination emission at 3500°K

Abstract

The rate of radiative recombination of O and SO has been measured by heating SO2 in the shock tube. The rate at 3500°K combined with room temperature data gives the radiative rate constant as 1.5 × 108(T/298)–1.0 mole–1 cm3 sec–1.
