Solutions in selenic acid. Part V. A conductometric investigation of the ionisation of some strong electrolytes in selenic acid

Abstract

The electrical conductivity of the solutes water, nitric acid, dinitrogen trioxide, dinitrogen tetroxide, triphenylmethanol, and ammonium hydrogen selenate have been determined in 100% selenic acid and in selenoleum. Their modes of ionisation in absolute selenic acid are discussed and are correlated with those in selenoleum. The results in selenoleum exhibit the acid nature of the selenic acid solvent system.
