Terpenoids from the Euphorbiaceae. Part I. The structure of crotonin, a norditerpene from Croton lucidus L

Abstract

Crotonin, a norditerpene from the leaves and twigs of Croton lucidus L., is shown to have a rearranged labdane or eperuane skeleton, with the side-chain modified as a β-substituted furan, and a carbonyl group at position 2.
