Studies in the indole series. Part IV. Tetrahydro-1H-pyrido[4,3-b]-indoles as serotonin antagonists

Abstract

A series of tetrahydro-1H-pyrido[4,3-b]indoles has been made by Fischer cyclisation of arylhydrazones of 1-substituted-4-piperidones. Some of these compounds have been shown to have high anti-serotonin activity when submitted to pharmocological tests in vitro.
