7-O-β-D-glucosyl-8-C-β-D-glucosyl-4′-O-methylapigenin. A new flavone from Trema aspera

Abstract

Tremasperin, a new O-glucoside C-glucoflavone isolated from Trema aspera is a mixture of mono- and di-acetates. The deacetylated material is shown to be 7-O-β-D-glucosyl-8-C-β-D-glucosyl-4′-O-methylapigenin. The structure has been elucidated from chemical and spectroscopic evidence, with emphasis on the contributions of high resolution mass spectrometry and 1H n.m.r. at 100 Mc./sec.
