Abstract

Components of the root of Lindera strychnifolia Vill. (a chinese drug) have been investigated, and sesquiterpene lactones other than the furan sesquiterpenes have been isolated: isogermafurenolide, lindestrenolide, hydroxyisogermafurenolide, and hydroxylindestrenolide. Their structures are discussed.
