Complete potential energy curves for excited states of chlorine and bromine

Abstract

Complete potential energy curves are computed for the 3Π0+u states of Cl2 and Br2 by the Rydberg-Klein-Rees method using spectroscopic data. The reduced potential curves are drawn and the principle of corresponding states is found to hold for these two states.
