Photoconduction of solutions of triphenylamine in benzene and n-hexane. Part 2.—Mechanism of carrier generation
Abstract
The photoconduction of triphenylamine in benzene solution has been studied as a function of field strength, triphenylamine concentration, and intensity and wavelength of radiation. Photoconduction occurs for radiation wavelengths as long as 3650 Å, and the observed photocurrents are proportional to the intensity of the radiation and the square-root of the triphenylamine concentration. These results support a biphotonic mechanism of carrier generation.
