Aspects of mass spectra of organic compounds. Part I. Some coumarins and pyronocoumarins

Abstract

The mass spectra of substituted 4-hydroxy-, 4-methyl, 3-acyl- and 2′- and 4′-pyrono(5′,6′:3,4)-coumarins are described. Measurements of ionisation and appearance potentials coupled with 13C labelling have permitted a detailed interpretation of some of the mass spectrometric fragmentations of these compounds.
