Constituents of the leaves of Ficus carica, L. Part II. Isolation of a ψ-taraxasteryl ester, rutin, and a new steroid sapogenin

Abstract

Two waxes and a ψ-taraxasteryl ester have been isolated from the light petroleum extract of the leaves of Ficus carica, L. Rutin, and a new trihydroxy-steroid sapogenin, ficusogenin, have been obtained from the ethanolic extract.
