Synthesis and properties of linear polyborazoles. Part III. Transamination of B-bisdiethylamino- and B-diamino-N-tri-(2,6-dimethylphenyl)-borazole by diamines

Abstract

The synthesis of linear polyborazoles by the transamination of B-bisdiethylamino-N-tri-(2,6-dimethylphenyl) borazole by hexamethylene diamine, m- and p-phenylenediamine, p,p′-diaminodiphenylmethane, and piperazine, and of B-diamino-N-tri-(2,6-dimethylphenyl)borazole by p,p′-diaminodiphenylmethane has been investigated. The molecular weights of the products were determined and from these values the degrees of polymerisation were deduced.
