Electron transfer in oxidative addition reactions of d6-metal complexes

Abstract

In the reaction of cis-[Mo(CO)2(Me2PCH2CH2-PMe 2)2] with alkyl halides, electron transfer from the metal substrate to the addendum involves the oxidation of Mo0 to MoII with MoI as the identified paramagnetic intermediate.
