A high-performance visible laser rewritable black paper

Abstract

Recently, visible-light-responsive rewritable papers (VLRPs) have attracted significant attention because of the superior penetration and less damage of visible light as compared to the case of ultraviolet light. However, to date, the most classic and frequently usable high-performance black VLRPs have not been realized. Herein, a new black VLRP with high purity and contrast was fabricated. The as-prepared black VLRP shows excellent reversibility (>60 cycles) and can be simply and automatically printed using commercial visible laser printing technology. This work proposed a new strategy for the development of high-performance switchable black displays.
