Environment-friendly aqueous processing of [60]fullerene semiconducting films for truly green organic electronics

Abstract

Here we report the application of water soluble thermo-cleavable [60]fullerene derivatives as precursors for manufacturing of fullerene-based organic field-effect transistors (OFETs). The designed approach provides an environmentally friendly and easy to use technique for fabrication of electronic devices based on C60 semiconductor films suitable for different applications such as design of flexible electric circuits or gas sensing.
