Effect of stereoisomerism of the alkyl chain on the gas sensing properties based on perylene dyes

Abstract

Here we have shown that it is possible to modulate intermolecular interactions of perylene dyes by simply changing the stereoisomerism of the alkyl chain. These modulated intermolecular interactions have been translated into crystal structures, π–π spacing as well as π–π overlap in solid films, and observed in current changes.
