Extraordinary supercapacitor performance of heavily nitrogenated graphene oxide obtained by microwave synthesis

Abstract

Heavily nitrogenated graphene oxide containing ∼18 wt% nitrogen, prepared by microwave synthesis with urea as the nitrogen source, shows outstanding performance as a supercapacitor electrode material, with the specific capacitance going up to 461 F g−1.
