Selective dry and reversible transfer-printing of nanoparticles on top of PDMS wrinkles

Abstract

We report a new technique that selectively deposits nanoparticles on top of poly(dimethylsiloxane) (PDMS) wrinkles. We demonstrate that reversible transfer-printing of dry nanoparticles on top of nonplanar substrates using a cylindrical roller is possible without the need of any substrate modification or etching step. This single step technique allows large scale printing of NPs onto rigid as well as flexible substrates.
