A novel nonheme manganese(ii) complex for (electro) catalytic oxidation of water

Abstract

We report a newly designed single-metal-site Mn-complex (1) which is synthesized by a simple method and structurally characterized by single-crystal X-ray crystallography and other spectroscopic tools. Electrochemical water oxidation (EcWO) is performed under different physiological pH conditions and we found better activity at pH = 8 than neutral and acidic pH.
