Band-gap tuning of N-doped TiO2 photocatalysts for visible-light-driven selective oxidation of alcohols to aldehydes in water

Abstract

The VB energy level of TiO2−xNx can be fine tuned in a wide range by controlling the N content, which realized a high selectivity for the photocatalytic oxidation of alcohols into aldehydes in aqueous solution under visible light irradiation.
