Shape-controllable synthesis of CeO2 particles in CO2-expanded ethanol towards CO oxidation application

Abstract

A facile and environmentally benign method using CO2-expanded ethanol as reaction medium was established for the selective synthesis of ceria particles with spherical and spindle-like morphology, which also exhibited enhanced catalytic performance towards CO oxidation.
