An acid-degradable biobased epoxy-imine adaptable network polymer for the fabrication of responsive structural color film

Abstract

A vanillin-derived epoxy intermediate was prepared and then combined with isophoronediamine and polyetheramine D-400 to produce a series of epoxy-imine network polymers, which exhibited reprocessable and acid-degradable properties. A composite film with responsive structural color was prepared from monodispersed polystyrene particles and the acid-degradation product of an epoxy-imine polymer.
