Single-step access to a series of D–A π-conjugated oligomers with 3–10 nm chain lengths

Abstract

A series of five D–A conjugated oligo(DPP-co-fluorene)s progressively consisting of 3, 5, 7, 9 and 11 monomers with molecular weights ranging between 1885 and 6428 and chain lengths ranging between 3 and 10 nm have all been synthesized in a single step by direct C–H arylated coupling, among which the 10.1 nm scale O5 is the longest DPP-based conjugated oligomer reported ever.
