Following the series of articles on the regulation of biocides in Europe (Pesticide Outlook, 2003, 14(2), 65-75), Frank T. Sanders, Director of the Antimicrobials Division of the US-EPA Office of Pesticide Programs, describes how the USA regulates what it terms "antimicrobial pesticides".
