Crystal structure of tricyclo[4,4,0,02,8]dec-3-ene-7,10-dione

Abstract

Crystals of the title compound are monoclinic, a= 6·806(1), b= 15·171(1), c= 7·667(1)Å, β= 92·18(9)°, Z= 4, space group P21/n. The structure was determined from counter data by direct methods, and refined by full-matrix least-squares techniques to R 0·046 for 984 observed reflexions. Bond lengths and angles generally are normal, with slight deviations which may be related to the bridging.
