Bromine-induced aromatic alkylation and dienone-phenol rearrangements

Abstract

The first examples of a ‘Friedel–Crafts’ alkylation resulting from bromination of an alkene and of a dienone-phenol rearrangement resulting from bromination of an enone are reported.
