A convenient method for the synthesis of P1-(7-methylguanosine-5′)P2-(ribonucleoside-5′) diphosphates

Abstract

Chemical synthesis of m7G5′ppNu (Nu = A, G, C, and U) has been achieved by condensation of the protected capping agent (11) with the four common stannylated ribonucleotides (12a–d) in the presence of iodine as activating agent, followed by removal of all the acid-labile protecting groups with 80% acetic acid.
