Selective formylation of α-or ε-amino-groups of peptides

Abstract

Derivatives of the bee venom peptides apamin and peptide-401 (MCD peptide) formylated selectively on the N-terminal (α-) amino-group, or on the ε-amino-group(s) may be isolated in high yields following formylation by two independent procedures.
