Synthesis and antitumor activity of α-aminophosphonates containing thiazole[5,4-b]pyridine moiety

Abstract

A new procedure is developed for the synthesis of α-aminophosphonates containing thiazole[5,4-b]pyridine moiety from conveniently available starting materials. The target compounds were characterized by infrared, 1H NMR, 13C NMR, 31P NMR, mass spectrometry and elemental analysis. The newly synthesized compounds were evaluated for their anticancer activities against PC-3, Bcap-37, H460 cells in vitro by the MTT method. Compounds 3b and 3f are highly effective against PC-3, Bcap-37 cells and good to H460 cells. Further study is necessary to find out the potential antitumor activities.
