Antidiabetic and antioxidant activities: Is there any link between them?

Abstract

An empirical relationship between antidiabetic and antioxidant properties of molecules using protocatechuic acid (PcA) as a test compound has been found. In vivo antidiabetic study and in silico evaluation of the antioxidant activity of PcA and glibenclamide (GcD) were used in establishing this relationship.
