Organic nanoparticle of 9,10-bis(phenylethynyl)anthracene: a novel electrochemiluminescence emitter for sensory detection of amines

Abstract

Organic nanoparticles of 9,10-bis(phenylethynyl)anthracene (BPA) with an average particle size of about 40 nm have been prepared via a reprecipitation method. The BPA nanoparticles exhibit strong and stable electrogenerated chemiluminescence emission with a high sensitivity to detect tri(n-propyl)amine and creatinine in a wide linear range with a low detection limit.
