Synthesis of a NO-releasing lamellar silsesquioxane by topotactic exchange of CO2 for NO

Abstract

The topotactic exchange of CO2 for NO in layered silsesquioxanes functionalised by amino groups was investigated, and the release of nitric oxide by the resulting material was monitored.
