Topotactic synthesis of highly-textured thermoelectric cobaltites

Abstract

For high-temperature thermoelectric power generators, single-crystal-like polycrystals of misfit-layered cobaltites were fabricated using an in situ topotactic conversion of aligned “reactive seed” platelet particles and the highly textured ceramics exhibited strong anisotropy with improved electrical conductivity.
