Synthesis of aryloxysulphoxonium salts

Abstract

Aryloxysulphoxonium salts (tetrafluoroborates and hexafluorophosphates) have been prepared by the decomposition of arenediazonium salts in an excess of various compounds containing the sulphonyl grouping: sulphones and aryl esters, and alkylated amides of alkane- and arene-sulphonic acids and of sulphuric acid.
