Crystal structure of 8-exo-bromo-1,3-methanoindane-2-endo-carboxylate
Abstract
The crystal structure of 8-exo-bromo-1,3-methanoindane-2-endo-carboxylate, C12H11O2Br, has been determined by three-dimensional X-ray diffraction methods. The compound crystallized in the orthorhombic space group P212121 with Z= 4 in a unit cell of dimensions a= 8·264, b= 6·148, c= 21·465 Å. Intensities were measured by automated diffractometer using Mo-Kα radiation. The structure was solved by the heavy-atom method and refined by least-squares calculations to a final R of 0·083 for 1193 independent reflexions.
