Mass spectra of some dialkyl sulphites

Abstract

The mass spectra of a series of dialkyl sulphites have been examined. The major fragments arise from ionization at oxygen and three main characteristic fragmentation pathways are discernible. One of these provides a further example of a rearrangement concomitant with the elimination of a stable neutral fragment.
