Synthesis of dibenzothiazines from sulfides by one-pot N,O-transfer and intramolecular C–H amination

Abstract

Herein, we report a metal-free and step-economic synthesis of dibenzothiazines from 2-biphenyl sulfides under mild reaction conditions. The reaction involves a sulfoximination of sulfides and intramolecular C–H amination using readily available reagents (NH4)3PO4·3H2O as the N-source, PhI(OAc)2 as the oxidant and DMF as the solvent.
