Solid-state studies. Part 21.—The Raman spectra of 13CO and 13C18O statistically and non-statistically enriched polycrystalline Mo(CO)6

Abstract

Raman data in the ν(CO) region on isotopically enriched Mo(CO)6 are interpreted on the basis of a model in which intermolecularly coupled oscillators form a network which becomes progressively more ragged with increasing isotopic substitution. Concomitantly, a network of coupled isotopic oscillators is developing.
