Far-infrared spectra of zeolites. Zeolites containing monovalent cations

Abstract

The far-infrared spectra of the zeolites LiX, NaX and KX, and of the dealuminated, ultra-stable molecular sieve US-EX were measured. The assignment of the vibrational bands of cations on different sites in the zeolite framework is made by comparing the spectra of the above-mentioned zeolites and of US-EX and analysing the behaviour of the cation vibration bands upon adsorption.
