Modification of Sn/S cages with bis-functionalized ferrocenyl units

Abstract

Bis-functionalized ferrocenyl units have been attached to organo-functionalized [(RFSn)4S6] double-decker clusters as criss-cross-type intramolecular straps. Two different ways of linking result in different crystal structures and different electrochemical stabilities of the resulting compounds.
