Abstract

A tetra Ru(II) bis(terpyridine) complex has been synthesized from Rh₂(N,N′-diphenyl-4-bromobenzamidinate)₄ in excellent yield using a modified Buchwald-Hartwig C–N bond forming protocol followed by efficient amide bond formation.
