Complexes of Tcv and TcIII with tridentate Schiff bases derived from S-methyl dithiocarbazate. Crystal structures of chloro[S-methyl 3-(2′-hydroxy-1-naphthylmethylene)dithiocarbazato(2-)]oxotechnetium(V) and dichloro[S-methyl 3-(2-hydroxybenzylidene)dithiocarbazato(1-)]bis(triphenylphosphine)-technetium(III)

Abstract

New square-pyramidal oxotechnetium(V) complexes of the type [TcO(Cl)(L)], and octahedral technetium(III) complexes of the type TcCl2(HL)(PPh3)2], where L and HL indicate respectively the dianionic tridentate and the monoanionic bidentate forms of a Schiff-base ligand derived from the methyl ester of dithiocarbazic acid, have been synthesized and characterized. The crystal structures of the compounds [TcO(Cl)(L6)][H2L6=S-methyl 3-(2′-hydroxy-1′-naphthylmethylene)-dithiocarbazate] and [TcCl2(HL1)(PPh3)2]·CH2Cl2[H2L1=S-methyl 3-(2′-hydroxybenzylidene)-dithiocarbazate] have been determined.
