Elimination stabilized alkyls. Part II. Neopentyl and related alkyls of chromium(IV)

Abstract

Binary chromium(IV) alkyls, CrR4, R = CH2CMe3, CH2CMe2Ph, CH2CPh3, and CH3, have been prepared and characterised by electronic, i.r. and e.s.r. spectroscopy. The electronic and magnetic properties of tetrahedral chromium(IV) compounds are discussed.
