Thermoregulated phase-transfer iridium nanoparticle catalyst: highly selective hydrogenation of the C[double bond, length as m-dash]O bond for α,β-unsaturated aldehydes and the C[double bond, length as m-dash]C bond for α,β-unsaturated ketones

Abstract

In the same catalytic system, thermoregulated ligand Ph2P(CH2CH2O)22CH3-stabilized iridium nanoparticles exhibited a totally different orientation for the hydrogenation of unsaturated carbonyl compounds, namely, highly selective hydrogenation of the C[double bond, length as m-dash]O bond for α,β-unsaturated aldehydes and the C[double bond, length as m-dash]C bond for α,β-unsaturated ketones.
