Effect of the preparation conditions of a barium–tantalate photocatalyst on the overall photocatalytic splitting of H2O

Abstract

The photocatalytic activity of a barium tantalum (Ba–Ta) mixed oxide prepared by the polymerizable complex method (PC method) for the overall splitting of H2O was related to its morphology originating from its preparation conditions. Photocatalysts with a rectangular parallelepiped shape showed the highest photocatalytic activity.
