Di-lanthanide encapsulated into large fullerene C100: a DFT survey

Abstract

Quantum chemical calculations combined with statistical thermodynamic computations expose the electronic structure and high thermodynamic stability of Dy2@C100, a D5-symmetric endohedral metallofullerene.
