One-step synthesis of single crystalline wedge-shaped Ta3N5 nanoflakes with ultrathin top ends

Abstract

Wedge-shaped Ta3N5 nanoflakes with ultrathin top ends and preferentially exposed {010} facets were directly grown on a Ta plate via one-step nitridation. The mixed CsI–Cs2CO3 flux controls the growth kinetics of Ta3N5 and possibly has an impact on the dissolving process of Ta.
