One-dimensional hierarchical structured MoS2 with an ordered stacking of nanosheets: a facile template-free hydrothermal synthesis strategy and application as an efficient hydrogen evolution electrocatalyst

Abstract

A facile hydrothermal approach was developed for the direct fabrication of novel one-dimensional hierarchical MoS2 with an ordered stacking of nanosheets and without any templates or additives. The as-prepared hierarchical structured MoS2 exhibited good electrocatalytic activity for the hydrogen evolution reaction (HER) in the acidic media.
