Facile synthesis and electrocatalytic application of phosphonate functionalized platinum nanodendrites

Abstract

Based on an aggregation directed nanocrystal rapid growth mechanism, the phosphonate functionalized Pt nanodendrites were synthesized by using a multiphosphonate molecule with small molecular weight as a complex agent, capping agent and structure-directing agent. Pt nanodendrites exhibited improved electrocatalytic activity and stability for the hydrazine oxidation.
