Anion directed control of supramolecular structure in silver complexes through weak interactions

Abstract

The control of supramolecular structure through weak interacting anions has been demonstrated in a series of three crystal structures of silver complexes with N,N'-dimethylene-2,2′-biimidazole (L). Progression towards a weakly coordinating anion (PF6) allows ligand twisting to dominate structure formation.
