π-Conjugated thiolate amplified spectrophotometry nitrite assay with improved sensitivity and accuracy

Abstract

We proposed a π-conjugation enhanced molar absorption coefficient strategy that can effectively improve the sensitivity of the spectrophotometry sensing technique. As a case study, the strategy was demonstrated for sensitive nitrite detection based on the typical nitrite–thiol reaction.
